Manchester Breaking Records
Recently voted the UK’s ‘Most Liveable City’ Manchester is a thriving hub for young professionals, post-graduates and creatives. The latest housing report from Urban Bubble showcased that rental values rose to record levels this year, bolstered by the city’s chronic undersupply of city centre properties. With a growing number of residents, the report also highlighted that there are currently just 664 homes available to rent in Manchester; compared to 1,628 this time last yearand 2,351 this time in 2020.
The limited supply of housing is driving rents up across all apartment types. This is especially relevant for 2-bedroom apartments which saw a dramatic increase in rental value, up 7.2% since Q1 2022 and 25.5% since this time last year
